Prescription Eyewear
Our Licensed Dispensing Optician (LDO) works closely with the
doctors of Atlanta Vision to support the highest standards of
eye care engendered as a result of training and legal obligation
under the Georgia Secretary of State.
Licensed opticians prepare and dispense lenses, spectacles,
eyeglasses, contact lenses and optical devices as authorized by
a written prescription from an optometrist or physician skilled
in diseases of the eye. One of the principal roles of the LDO is
to ensure that your prescription is made in accordance with your
doctor's prescription. If you are having issues related to your
eye wear, we encourage you to visit us as most issues can be
resolved in a professional dispensary setting. |

Dispensing opticians are only considered for licensure after
meeting specific educational and work experience requirements
and examinations. Continuing education is ensured through the
two year renewal of license.
